Can I use polyurethane on acrylic-latex paint? If so, what kind?

Since it's going to be displayed indoors there is not need to seal it. I've painted furniture before and never sealed it with no problems. If you were to display it outdoors or where it will be subjected to the elements I would suggest a coat of exterior paint.
