Dimmer switch mystery?
One wire is a constant hot..one wire is a feeder wire which must be tied with the hot wire.The other wire is a switch leg to the new light.If you have it that way everything must work..Dimmer switch would not create a issue.It has 2 wires.One is for the hot and one for the switch leg to the light.
