I want to make a gummi bear lamp.?

Those of you who know Icarly, know that in her room she has a chandelier that is made from gummi bears. They are not real of course. But I was wondering I read somewhere that I could cover the gummi bear with resin to seal it. What I don't know though is that, will they melt? Or will the resin keep them from melting? Thanks!
