Should I get my ear pierced again?

I used to have my ears pierced in the past until I was aged 15. The earrings on both sides ended up being stuck inside my ears so my mother took me to the doctor to take them out of my ears. I was told by the doctor not to have them repierced again in the future. I am now 32 and it has been ages since the last time I had my ears pierced. I am wondering if I should have them pierced or just follow the doctor's orders? Thanks.
