Is it bad for my ear to be a little swollen on a new ear piercing?

I pierced my ear lobes again 2 weeks ago and now when i touch it it kinda hurts. so i took off my ear piercing and i felt that it has a ball in my hole. i put alcohol in it to make it try to get better. I don't know why it's swollen i always cleaned it with the ear solution they gave me and i turn the earring around after i clean it. i got it professionally pierced. so what do i do? do i just leave it alone. my mom says it's fine but i don't think so? so it bad or not?
