Who remembers this stuff, and who can add some of their own to my list?

One year my husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday, and I said I wanted a lava lamp. He said, "You're kidding." I said, "You asked me what I want; that's what I want." So that's what I got--and I loved it and still do. To add to your list--how about a Tesla globe? You know, one of those glass globes with the miniature lightning storm inside. I have one of those, too. I got that for Christmas.
