How can I tell if a table chair is antique or worth money?

Slats reduce warpage in wood. Much better seat than a solid one. Next look it over for the die mark, Manufactures stamp. if it has one don't sand that off! Next hardware,Screws,bolts fittings. Is it doweled together? They will give a indication of age. At that price sounds like a good chair to start on. Learn the basics first.
